Radiation Oncology Accreditation
The Radiation
Oncology departments of Medical X-Ray Center, P.C. Main Office and Medical
X-Ray Center, P.C. Avera Cancer Institute office has been awarded a
three-year term of accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
Radiation Oncology ACR Accreditation is granted to facilities for the
achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of
the practice. On-site evaluations are conducted by board-certified
physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the radiation
oncology field. They assess the qualifications of the personnel, the
quality of the equipment as well as applicable policy practices. The
surveyors report their findings to the ACR's Committee on Accreditation,
which provides the practice with a comprehensive recommendation and final
report.
ACR Accreditation
provides confidence that Medical X-Ray Center, P.C. demonstrates a high
level commitment to quality care and practice.
We are proud to provide the only accredited Radiation Oncology services
within the state of South Dakota.
