Dr.
Welter joined the practice in 1990. He is a diagnostic radiologist
specializing in Body
Imaging
(computed tomography, magnetic resonance
imaging and ultrasound).
He received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of South Dakota at Vermillion, and his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a surgical internship at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD, a residency in diagnostic radiology at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown, OH, and a fellowship in body imaging at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI.
Dr. Welter is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Medical Association, the Roentgen Ray Society, the South Dakota Medical Association, and the Seventh District Medical Society.
Dr. Welter and his wife, Suzanne, have one son.
