Dr.
Nelson joined Medical X-Ray Center in 1992 as a diagnostic radiologist
specializing in Body
Imaging (computed tomography, magnetic resonance
imaging and ultrasound).
He received his undergraduate degree in natural science as a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks and his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine at Grand Forks. Dr. Nelson completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, and completed a fellowship in special imaging from the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics at Iowa City.
Dr. Nelson is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the South Dakota Medical Association, and the Seventh District Medical Society.
Dr. Nelson and his wife, Sandy, have one son and one daughter.
