Dr.
Famestad joined Medical X-Ray Center in 1989 as a Diagnostic
Radiologist
in the practice of general radiology.
He received his undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Sioux Falls and his medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine in Vermillion. He completed an internship and residency in diagnostic radiology at the Michigan State University Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Famestad completed a fellowship in angiography and interventional radiology at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque, NM.
Dr. Famestad is certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, and is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the South Dakota State Medical Association, and the Seventh District Medical Society.
Dr. Famestad and his wife, Roberta, have one daughter.
