Dr. Plorde is a Interventional Radiologist, specializing in vascular and non-vascular image guided interventional procedures.
He earned his medical degree at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Virginia Mason Medical Center, Seattle, WA. Dr. Plorde completed fellowship training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN.
Dr. Plorde is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha. He is board certified by the the American Board of Radiology and earned his certificate of added qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Plorde is a member of the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR).
Before moving to Sioux Falls, Dr. Plorde and his wife, Dr. Desiree Langel (a dermatopathologist) practiced in their respective specialties in the Twin Cities for ten years. Outside of work, Dr. Plorde and his wife are busy raising their twin boys, James and Joseph.
